Technical details:
NewtAC attaches to the power port of any MessagePad and permits slow-charge of the internal battery. It’s compatible with any usb power source (e.g.: desktop or laptop usb port, usb hub, usb car adapter, iPod usb charger).
USB standards regulate power supply to 5Volts rated at 0.5A max. A non-standard usb adapter can kill the Newton PMU.
